Art of the Damned

Mystic Musings

You cannot ask for help, then
shun it every time it arrives

How our ingratitude pains Him
looking gift horses in the mouth

If we ask life for favors
be prepared to return them

The master is not permitted
the same mistakes as the novice

The healer is not allowed
to turn their back on the gift

At the heart of all vice
sits unrepentant selfishness

Guilt is never to be doubted
the punishment fits the sin

Nothing left to do when you’re damned
but weep and pray for pardon

Even this late, there’s still hope left
but not much and not for much longer...
